Kaanyr is a Cell leader for the Black Ice Gang who is task is marked as "Magistery". Kaanyr is known as the Scourge of Ched Nasad, an area near his home in the underdark. He was scoping out the Magistery to monitor the artifact that powers the training dungeon Rezik has investigated Kaanyr, and reported the following: "Looking for odds and ends out of place in the Magistery has proved to be quite difficult, while I've lived here for some time, the Magistery is just so massive and complex, it's almost overwhelming. An Adept by the name of Reshi took note of my odd, but observant behavior, and I eventually you learned that her Master's Thesis is on the study of Drow. Taking the opportunity, I confided in her the details of what I'm searching for, and in turn Reshi confides that she has found a likely location for most of the cell leaders but is looking for more information before informing anyone that they can hunt Kaanyr down. Eventually Reshi decides that I am indeed a worthy magister, and she gave me the location she has discovered. In exchange I swear to wipe out Kaanyr from existence and report your discoveries and any findings back to her first. Kaanyr has been seen around the outside of the magistery a few times, and one of these times Reshi stalked Kaanyr back to his hideout in the Temple District. He has been using clever makeup as well as magical illusions to hide his true nature and has been posing as a devotee of Corellon. I have been unable to gain access to the temple's barrack-style cleric'ss bedchambers, but Kaanyr seems to leave the temple around sundown every night with regularity. I have no idea how long he's been here, but suspect you could stalk and capture him easily." A Magistery Party captured and interrogated Kaanyr on Tresuna Timartis 3/17/346 (see Recollections). A summary of what was learned from interrogation follows: About Kaanyr *Kaanyr is known as the Scourge of Ched Nasad, an area near his home in the underdark *He was scoping out the Magistery to monitor the artifact that powers the training dungeon The Illithid and the Training Dungeon *Illithids are trying to control the training dungeon, which would allow them to invade the Magistery *Their goal is to unseat "The Power" - the Magistery *The artifact is the key to this invasion *The Illithid are not working with Danifae, they have their own agenda *There might be hundreds of Illithid working on this - it is not just a single Illithid *It's important to note that the Illithid somehow started all of this Escaping the Underdark *The Drow are currently attempting to escape Menzoberranzan, their home in the Underdark *It's currently falling apart due to the Silence of Lolth their goddess *Since Lolth is silent their divine casters are unable to cast spells *The Drow have tried other planes before but were rejected *Now they've started to come to Solace *Their intentions are not pure and you should not consider them refugees, as they are attempting to destroy everything and release the chaos curse *There have already been thousands of drow ferried, hiding in plain sight *Hune was in charge of ferrying over the drow from the Underdark *We believe they may be hiding many in what they call the “Little Dark” or what we know as “Old Solace” or the “Undercity”
