Invoking Memento Mori typically results in true death with no hope of resurrection, but in exchange allows you one burst of supernatural life. Many Magi over the ages have spent their last dying breath changing history through this invocation, and while they have no hope of returning to the material plane, they can be assured that their deaths were far from meaningless.
