I will keep this brief as Rezik has hit many of the major items, but rather speak to the subtleties that we have discovered or inferred.

*We had been under the assumption that the Baron was a high level caster of some kind due to his ability to protect himself from Rezik's scying.  In fact he appeared to be a very normal man but with extraordinary resources. The powerful magic that we have seen must be coming from another.
*His lands will be turned over to Solace and governed by the government - which reminds me that when we visited his castle we saw Duke Devries at the party.  He is in line to become Emperor of Solace and was at the blood orgy.  Perhaps would should keep an eye on him?
*The tattoo we found in Velah's lair is the phylactery of Lord Dyrr and he is very much aware that I have it, having told me to "keep it safe" as he parted.  So though he knows I have it he appears to "trust" me with it.
