==Recollections by Rezik== I was summoned for another task today, along with Sarya, Myra, and Zalmann. We met with Bihar, the clerk, who was scribing the “History of the Yellow” (outlining the history of Nesune). When we asked Bihar for our task, he brought us to Nesune. It appears it was her errand that we would be running today. Nisune had asked us to cleanse a shrine in a farm town nearby. She seemed surprised that it was just going to be us going, she expected more of us (she underestimated us). We were told that we would be required to place a “Stone of Hallowing” on the desecrated shrine. Nisune, then informed us that the act of cleansing the shrine would alert whatever desecrated it in the first place and that we may have to defend the town and ourselves. Armed with this knowledge, the “Stone of Hallowing”, and 6 vials of holy water (for good measure), we made our way to the farm town. The town was not what I expected. The desecration had sapped all the moisture from the ground and actually sunken the shrine. The shrine itself had been broken and gave off a feeling of malaise. We asked the local farmers to tell us everything they knew about the shrine and when it might have been desecrated. We learned that two visitors had passed through the town the night before the shrine was desecrated (about 10 weeks ago), and that one had been “praying” near it in the late evening. It turns out that this was the man that had caused the desecration. As we learned more, it became clear that we could truly use all the help we could get. I convinced the local farmers to join us, to save their town. Our group and a handful of local farmers created a perimeter around the shrine and Sarya slowly laid the stone on the ground. Suddenly, the area was covered in yellow light – giving us a sense of tranquility and power. It wasn’t long before the earth began to shake and our enemies arrived. We were, at first, attacked by a number of small elemental and then a large stone elemental. With the help of the farmers, we were able to fight off this initial attack. We lost a number of farmers in the process, but victory was close – or so we thought. We suddenly found ourselves being attacked by a man, covered in bits of metal and (what we think) acid. It seems like he had three similar golems (maybe not golems) – covered in metal & acid. '''IMPORTANT NOTE TO SELF:''' I attempted to confuse the newcomer but it seems he was able to resist my psionic abilities. It’s never happened to me before and he shouldn’t have been able to do so – I’ll have to continue to explore why this may have happened. Myra, conjured fire and was able to burn the attacker – his acid actually catching fire and melting his body. With the death of their master, the golems (maybe not golems) turned and ran away. The farm took heavy casualties, with all of the men that volunteered to fight, dying – including the bar keeper who had asked the Magistery for help. As the town buried their dead, we explored the area to see what we could learn. Myra cast a ritual to help us understand the magic around the shrine. When she completed her casting, she told us something surprising – the area below the shrine held portals to other dimensions. We think that the sapped moisture and sinking ground may be related to these inter-dimensional portals. We came back to the Magistery to inform Nesune of everything we saw…
