==Recollections by Ci== For as long as I can remember, I have been sure of what is right. What is just. What is good. The way my fellow parents were taken from me... unjust. The monsters that slaughtered them? Evil. I have heard the whisperings of Master FΔng, urging to be better, to train harder, to spread good and justice beyond the walls of the Temple. I was sure I knew what that meant. Protect the innocent, and destroy evil. Now I doubt my wisdom. Master Liu always said that doubt is the beginning of wisdom. I never really understood that until now. The quiet master I have followed my whole life has taught me a lesson I must now struggle to understand. The world is not just good and evil... not just black and white... it is... something else. Something grey. As I hold the Bones of Feng, I feel his power... I also feel his disappointment. He wanted me to be better. I only became harder. Hard, like the brittle edge of a sword tempered too many times... likely to break when needed the most. I must learn to bend like a cane staff. Hard when needed but soft when required. As I stood in the burrows of those wretched Kobolds, surrounded by their broken bodies and with the terrified cries of their women and younglings ringing in my ears, I realized that I was the terror, I was the monster... not the other way around. I am shaken, but I will learn this lesson. I will also find out why this Baron Tedor Zevane has manipulated these Kobolds, and for what purpose. My hand certainly held the sword, but Zevane placed these creatures in harms way... I would know why.
