starts: they awaken, jeweler draws karlth into an alleyway to tell him what's happening tell him that the dagger is used to summon an army, the army of solace. they have to steal an airship to get off the island, being unveiled in third quadrant of the island of the four. they spend time researching the ship, discover the captain is an old war companion of karlth and askarius's, Aethel (of the Aethelfirth) they wait until sundown and see the unveiling of the zeppelin. they go on to the captain's dinner, and greet Aethel. Aethel invites the party to stay overnight. Karlth and aethel meet in secret on the ship's deck, and Aethel confesses he is bound to the ship, and asks him to free (kill) him, and in exchange Aethel will declare karlth as the secret captain of the ship. Karlth agrees and no more is said. That night Karlth is visited in his sleep and is offered a trade by Nerull. His wife for the dagger shards that Karlth is in possession of. Karlth willfully agrees, and Nerull is now in possession of all the dagger shards. Askarius prays to Drusilia for guidance, and Drusilia instead channels her surroundings to him. He hears the hymns of the gods, singing, mourning for one of their dead. A god was murdered (Selune), and the scales of the quires have been tipped. Nerull is expected to take advantage of his greater standpoint to jump into her spot. he, using the dagger, has summoned the army of solace. Connor is visited by a wolf headed gargantuan female (skadi) The party awakens the next morning and Karlth assassinates Aethel:
assassinates aethel, karlth absorbs 170 spd, and 170 str. he moves to the bottom of the ship and is attacked by a beholder (in truth, a mind flayer illusion) is grasped by the flayer, and has to flee. Askarius in a barbaric rage runs down and immune to the flayer slaughters him. They proceed to the bottom of the ship, and kill every guard on board. they take over the ship and set sail. Karlth proceeds to fly above the ship and personally slaughters the 12 flying red dragons that were supposed to guard the ship, using Connor as his weapon. After slaughtering all of the dragons he goes back downstairs to find out what's in the massive empty chamber. Karlth leaves Connor to guard his room with Anna in it, and finds Anar in the large chamber. Anar is furious, and eventually Askarius lets him out of the chamber by opening the bottom escape, and Anar goes speeding towards the island of the four. Karlth attempts to calm her, convince her to come back, but Anar won't listen. Karlth doesn't realize that he killed Anar's 12 children, Anar was imprisoned, tortured, raped, and she wants revenge. She smashes into the island with such speed that the entire island is shaken, and tips ever so slightly. The tip was enough, because it was an artificial island it sank very quickly, and killed the entire population, as well as the enormous technological advances that were borne of the island. Karlth, Anna, Connor, Gabriel, Vaenin, and Askarius all sail towards the endcircle island, while the warship of solace has assembled in full and is throttling to intercept the zeppelin.
