Editing Valas (section)

Valas was a cell leader of the [[Black Ice Gang]], tasked by the Gang (or possibly by the Spider Queen [[Lolth]] herself) with collecting Ingredients for something called [[The Chaos Curse]]. Though the exact nature of the Curse is unknown, we were able to figure out what he had collected and what he had not yet:

We did learned of a drow cell that we suspected to be reporting to him recruiting in the slums to go on an expedition into the old Solace ruins. We located their likely point of entry into the old solace ruins, and discovered that a group of [[Drow]] including [[Valas]] himself, were harvesting Rust Monster saliva.  A Magistery party including [[Jorg]], [[Cassio]], [[Ember]], [[Ci]] and [[Jeroy]] successfully disrupted this harvesting, destroying a cache of Rust Monster Saliva, freeing a number of civilians who had been pressed in to service, killing both [[Valas]] and his Champion, collapsing the tunnels leading to the docile Rust Monsters, and capturing a [[Drow]] Soldier for interrogation (see [[Game-Summaries:2/16 Recollections]]).

One final interesting fact, Valas turned out to be another Mage, making it likely that Mages are held in high esteem by the [[Drow]] as they seem to be the leaders of the cells operating around in [[Solace]].
