Following the Collapse of the Temple District, the layout, societal structure, and government of the city has changed dramatically and is currently in a fluid state as the city rebuilds and various Factions vie for influence and control.
Due to the level of destruction, the city is divided into multiple distinct districts, with the flow of resources and people limited by the broken infrastructure. Many roughly correspond to the original layout of the city, due largely to the makeup of the survivors in that area and the difficulty in transitting the different regions.
The Crown District: This area roughly covers the government and upper crust. City manors of the noble houses can be found here, in varying damaged states, the Imperial Palace, largely intact, lies along the northern axis of the city. Parliament would be here if it hadn't been flattened by a chunk of land containing the now-former temple of Olidammara. The northern docks allow for some access to this section of the city from outside, but the control of that supply chain is in active dispute.
West End: The area covering Middle and Upper Middle classes, homes of in-city landowners and wealthier artisans and other wealthy but not ennobled members of society. Cut off due to lack of permanent dock structures despite being adjacent to the sea.
The Dockward Slums: Home to the working class poor, mercantile warehouses, and the docks. The poorer part of the city and also a vital supply line for ship-borne relief and supplies, a major cause of strife within the district.
The Military Industrial Complex: The military and industrial heart of the city, this area was the hardest hit by the more intelligent and capable of the enemy's forces, in an effort to cripple the military response of the city and prevent significant resistance. Mostly populated by those working or stationed in the area when they assault took place and who have nowhere else to go. Despite the devastation, the area is sought out for the remaining industrial and military resources available for enterprising scavengers, despite the city guard's efforts to maintain order and control.
Brandywine Way: The former entertainment district of the city. Lacking in strategic or resource value, the resolution of the collapse has left the main supply roads into the city from the east within this district, rather than in the MIC,
The Dead Zone: The central districts, hardest hit during the collapse. Survivors here are spread thin and desperate. Its central location still makes it a disputed territory, with increasing importance as the rubble clears and infrastructure is restored
Remains of the Temple District: Widely distributed throughout the city, sections of the upper city remain intact, with some temples remaining populated by their clergy. Many others were completely destroyed or are now abandoned, leaving them ripe for enterprising souls willing to risk divine wrath for abandoned relics.
