Mindflayers, also known as Illithids, are creatures of incredible intellect who can use their abilities to harm and control other creatures
Physical
They are of humanoid shape, with four tentacles that snake from their octopus-like hairless heads, flexing in hungry anticipation when sentient creatures come near.
Strengths
We have witnessed these creatures display the ability to:
- generate a blast of mental energy that damages surrounding creatures
- take control of the mind of sentient creatures and use them to their own ends, at least for a short period of time
- attack with their tentacles in close combat, digging them into the skin of their victim, causing massive damage. I shudder to think what might befall an adventurer that was killed in this manner.
Weaknesses
Though formidable opponents, some have been found to have a relatively weak constitution. If the party can survive long enough to deal moderate damage, these creatures can be defeated.
