Our journey began in the library where we met the clerk Bihar as he was devotionally scribing The History of the Yellows.  All of us: Rezik, Sarya and Zalmann and myself, Myra, were yearning for a mission.  Bihar, appearing quite uninterested in our small talk, summoned Mistress Nasoon (of the house of helium and electricity).  Mistress Nasoon told us of the desecration of a shrine at a farmer’s enclave 35 miles to the east.  She gave us a yellow sapphire to use to cleanse the area.   Mistress Nasoon had little information to give about the cause of the corruption, but warned that we must be prepared with weapons because once we place down the sapphire the perpetrators will reveal themselves.

Recollections by Myra

Our journey began in the library where we met the clerk Bihar as he was devotionally scribing The History of the Yellows. All of us: Rezik, Sarya and Zalmann and myself, Myra, were yearning for a mission. Bihar, appearing quite uninterested in our small talk, summoned Mistress Nesune (of the house of healing and electricity). Mistress Nesune told us of the desecration of a shrine at a farmer’s enclave 35 miles to the east. She gave us a yellow sapphire to use to cleanse the area. Mistress Nesune had little information to give about the cause of the corruption, but warned that we must be prepared with weapons because once we place down the sapphire the perpetrators will reveal themselves.

We arrived at the farmer’s enclave three hours before dusk and decided to meet with a local to collect information. The local led us to the tavern, where we learned that ten weeks ago two out-of-towners came from the east and destroyed the shrine in the middle of the night. Rezik enlisted the help of seven humble and willing farmers.

Sarya placed the yellow sapphire on the desecrated shrine and instantly those inside the radius were bathed in a yellow light of tranquility. This unperturbed feeling was shaken when earthen elementals with piercingly green eyes began to rise from the dirt. Battle ensued and the group started to slowly defeat the elementals with the support of the farmers. Victory was momentarily achieved over the small elementals. The big rock elemental made its presence soon thereafter, almost taking the lives of Zalmann and Sarya. We were given almost no reprieve when four others showed up. These newcomers were covered in bits of metal and dripping acid. Their magic was alchemical by nature. And they lobbed explosives at us. After continuous group effort, I melted what seemed to be their leader with alchemical fire and the three others turned tail and ran. The farming village took a big hit in the loss of seven able bodied farmers.

Before leaving I cast a detect magic spell and learned that the shrine had below it a portal into other dimensions. The presence of these portals is most likely the reason for the depressions in the ground, explaining the receding dirt at the location of the desecrated shrine.
