The morning after the gala, I went to knock on some doors to let my neighbors know what I witnessed at the gala. And to let them all know to be ready. Something is about to go down. Others already knew as they were at the Innocent Egg with me the previous night. The rest of the day passes by uneventfully. A couple of hours before dusk, I pack the things that matter to me most and the things that I think might come handy in case we need to depart quickly and then head off to pick up Theran and Bartholomew. We also pick up Josdreak who seems to be running his mouth off about our secret meeting tonight. Best to keep him close, given his desire to gossip.
We arrive at the Innocent Egg and things start to move quickly. Aeren Oakdew finishes his beer quickly and heads out back. We follow and he's already on a horse waiting for us with several horses there. He came prepared to get things done it seems! I tell the barkeep that there is a keg of my beer on the wagon for the place and get on a horse to follow. Unfortunately I must leave my things behind as my wagon and personal horse would not be able to keep up with the steeds that Aeren brought.
We ride to Solace where we can see the giant statue of Pelor looming overhead. Before we get going, Aeren tells us that we are to meet at the safehouse that is on the southwest corner of a courtyard that is in the northeast part of the city. This has me worried as Solace looks like a powder-keg ready to blow and we arrived at the southwestern part of the city. We can hear a lot of grumbling about taxation without representation, much like the issues at home honestly. We also see a lot of tenseness about everyone. We move as quickly as we can without bumping into people, walking on a razor's edge here. At least once I was threatened with my life!
We avoided the various stampedes that ensued and the guards that caused them and despite getting split away from Aeren and Josdreak, we all managed to find Serenity. Here we learn that the goal of the resistance is to take back our land for the people. There are lots of folks from all parts here. Nobility is more well represented than I expected. I do hope that I'm able to get word back to Amber about this. She would be a great sponsor for this.
Tomorrow the resistance starts. We will attack the Blackforge Prison and raid the strategic stockpiles of resources along the way. It looks like I'm going to have to find myself a nice brown coat.

Recollections by Astret

The morning after the gala, I went to knock on some doors to let my neighbors know what I witnessed at the gala. And to let them all know to be ready. Something is about to go down. I made a note to tell my closest friends, Tourmaline, Horatio and Lait.
