The Red Elixir

High Concept: Fantasy Red Cross
Dark Secret: Works with illegal groups so they can help others
Goal: Heal and feed those that need it
The Red Elixir was started by a former Cleric of Pelor, Enyra Sarnala, who grew frustrated with the suffering and un-answered prayers she saw around her. After renouncing her faith she pledged to help anyone who asked. The Red Elixir became synonymous with helping those in need. This included the poor, hungry, and sick from the poorest districts of Solace. Following fires or other natural disasters the Red Elixir was typically the first to arrive and last to leave. The organization is funding through donations of money and supplies from the citizens and merchants of Solace. In the years leading up to the Assault it became harder and harder for the Elixir to stay well supplied. Enyra appeared to be unable to reach her usual contacts or donations seemed to be less an less as time progressed. Thankfully for the Elixir, Selakirr Khalazza, a reclusive but prosperous merchant was able to fill the void and return many of the needed supplies for the Elixir to complete its mission.

- She founded the Red Elixir 5 years before the assault. A former Cleric, she renounced her faith after seeing her God, Pelor, refuse to help those less fortunate who were unable to devote their time and resources as offerings to a God. Frustrated with the idea that those with so little couldn’t give away what little they had and therefore could not be saved she renounced her faith, took the knowledge of healing she had, and formed the Red Elixir. Now shunned from her former circles she must rely on other means and networks to raise funds and secure supplies for those in need.

The Gith Enclave
House Ottah

House Patriarch Taura Ottah leads House Ottah in its mercantile dealings from their seat of power in the affluent northwestern district of Solace. Sontah, an honorific given to the high priest of House Ottah has historically been an internally facing role, officially an Imam of the Ptah faith. In light of recent events the Sontah has named himself Ayatollah, and with Taura's blessing has begun preaching outside of the halls of House Ottah. The chaplain-turned-preacher has labeled those who fell beneath the gaze of Azathoth as apostates and that a true understanding of God's will is necessary for redemption.
On the secular side, the physical house was devastated by the collapse, but not entirely destroyed and is recovering more quickly than some houses, thanks in large part to House Ottah's mercantile dealings in the construction industry and close relationship with the secretive Guild of Stoneworkers. House Ottah holds craftsmanship and artisanship in such a high regard to consider it a religious calling, and as such they have taken great strides towards involving themselves in the reconstruction efforts, both in offering aid through their increased militia presence, house artisans, and experts, as well as by seizing control of the reconstruction planning and execution.
Another notable member of House Ottah includes Haversath Ottah, a gifted scholar who is a bit naïve, and newly adorned heir presumptive of House Ottah following the death of Taura's only son Seth Ottah in the collapse of the temple district. Haversath has not acknowledged the responsibilities of this mantle and hopes that Taura can produce a new heir to the household.

The Guild of Stoneworkers
The Guild of Stoneworkers is an artisan's guild comprising a large fraction of masons, sculptors, and general laborers in Solace who take pride in being Artists of Earth and Stone. They are ostensibly led by Stonefather Rapha Splinterson, Teenage Prodigy, who has reluctantly stepped up to lead the guild in the wake of the Collapse and the death of his mentor, the previous guild leader. Known as much for their arrogance as the quality of their work, the guild is widely known to have Flint Chips on their Shoulders and be difficult to work with, best exemplified by Stonebrother Vaulter, the Stealth Sculptor, known prior to the collapse for their outlandish and temporary sculptures placed around the city without being seen. Their goal is Total Control of all Stonework in the city, a goal pursued in part by Stonesister Sedar, Half-orc Fabricator.
House deVries
A well-established noble house whose ancestral lands lie to the south-southeast of Solace, House deVries are Philanthropic Nobles, under the current leadership of Lord Jakob Mog deVries, a Man of the People, whose goals for Solace are explicitly and publicly to Create a Shining City on a (Floating) Hill. A family with a high profile and a role in Parliament, they are represented there by Alistair de Vries, a Pragmatic and Savvy Politican, who, especially now in the tumultuous time since the Collapse, seeks to push the house's agenda through via legal channels.
Their Dark Secret, whatever it may be, is currently unknown.
The Shadowed Bones
A Rough and Vicious Thieves Guild that formed just a few years before the Collapse, the Shadowed Bones have already made a name for themselves due to their cutthroat nature. Their willingness and ability to go toe to toe with older and larger criminal organizations have quickly led them to becoming de facto rulers of the eastern districts, formerly the Entertainment district. The group is currently led by halfling Hungar Winterswatch, a Former Crown Guard, who publicly renounced his commission guarding the Imperial palace for unknown reasons shortly after the Collapse, taking over the group and moving their operations from the southern slums. Their goals beyond control and coin are currently unknown.
Their Dark Secret, whatever it may be, is currently unknown.
