Game-Summaries:9/12/2020 Recollections
Recollections by Iago edit
Jeroy and Kaylorr found me outside of Shanjiu Keep as they were marching with what looked like a million automatons of some type. I couldn't let the fascination pass, so I joined them on the march. There they introduced me to Oran, a wizard with an axe!, recently. His style is fascinating!! Back to these automotans, Modrons, they are called. We marched with them all the way to Folcom Keep, where they were to carry out their mission of destroying the Wand of Orccus. Supposedly they come to our world every 289 years, though this cycle was 45 years early (it might be important to understand why, but it's unclear to me why right now). Given how many of them there were, they quickly went into Folcom, destroyed many of the Eternal Army and then proclaimed the Wand also destroyed and left. We only have their word to go on, but it seems quite likely they carried out their mission and immediately proceeded to return from where they came, which involves marching through more planes.
However, since our work was not finished, we managed to control some of these Modron and went into Folcom Keep ourselves to rid the world of this plague. Inside we are confronted with many units of the Army composed mostly of Dreadhorde Soldiers and Dreadhorde Arcanists. I forgot to mention earlier - a score of Master ranked Magisters of each colour marched with us! With their aid, we marched into Folcom towards House Payne, the last known stand of Dereth. To no one's big surprise, we found a large contingent of the Eternal Army there, along with Chandra. We disposed of Chandra quickly, which leads me to believe it might have just been a Clone or Simulacrum of hers, the Army took a little while longer. Definitely to all of our surprise, Dereth appeared out of nowhere to stab Jeroy in the back! And then with some power of Excalibur, he multiplied into 23 versions of himself! Jeroy was then banished to some other location (he returned to us after a few tense moments of battle) and we managed to defeat the Army.
By this time, I as so exhausted, then I decided it was time for a well deserved rest. Oran was chatty and kept Jeroy and Kaylorr awake, but a soldier must take rest when they can get it. I'll need to catch up with them later to see what else they discussed and learned. Is Dereth dead for real? What about the Dreadhorde?
Recollections by Jeroy edit
As recounted by my compatriots, Dereth's betrayal was not finished and appears to be more pervasive than we originally thought. He had been working against us far longer than I had realized and continues to work against us beyond the grave. Based on my recent recollection it makes me wonder if death really is final and if defeating him is enough. We killed Dereth today but that isn't the first time we could say those words. Not to mention for someone that has aligned themselves with a god, of death none the less, we have to ask if death is truly a final solution against our allies or only a temporary inconvenience.
I fear we must raise Dereth again so that we can ensure that he will not rise again.

Recollections by Óran edit
I'm Óran Fhoghar, and I make music with my axe along side my construct, "Sibel O'Craam". I'm flattered to be offered a spot with the Eternal Order after Arsteel suggested it. I guess now I've gotta see which colored club-house I want to join! Before any of that, I'm supposed to briefly tell you about the important things. I'm told it's called a "brief".
We're accompanying Modron March from the Upperdark, and I'm teaching Jeroy how to use Arcane magic gracefully, when I meet and play music with Iago and his mom. I'm allowed to march along with the Greys and Black houses in their vanguards. The Modrons make a wall of Brass missiles and destroys this city until they find the Wand of Orcus and dismantle it. Then they try to leave without helping at all. The Greys and I compel a detachment of Modrons to join us (200 Monodrones, 100 Duodrones, 50 Tridrones, 25 Quadrones, 12 Pendadrones, and 1 Quinton)
Jeroy commanded the Greens and Browns, Iago helped by coordinating the Whites and Blues, and Kaylor, the naked half-elf, commanded the Yellows and Reds with a confidence I'd say he was probably born with.
At least one Dreadhoard Commander, Archinists, Generals, and Nerull, probably, are in this town that was once human filled, based on the brick and tall-ish buildings.
Our Modrons lead and we follow. We encounter Archanists and Soldiers, all dressed as themed hosts at a tacky restaurant. The Modron Wall of Brass assault while we follow behind was only good at distracting. We act together to get through until we get to the House of Pain, when a dreadfully dramatic surprise surrounds us with a Diva lady named Chandra
We wall off two of them and the reds make one of the generals go insane and explode. Before nearly passing out, I see many troops vaporize, and some overly familiar voice tells Jeroy "Good to see you, again" or something a creepy uncle would whisper.
This "Dereth" shows up and makes 23 different copies of himself. I can forgive the Emo Black Full plate, but 23 copies is really shoving your pre-pubescent trauma down our throats. We fight them off and mop up. Chandra was Dereth's illusion, so she's wherever she wants, and the Ex-Calibur is gone, too. Thankfully, Nerull didn't heed Dereth's call for intervention, because it would have been tough. We've destroyed all the themed waiters and their managers and the Magister Masters just left and didn't bother to figure out rebuilding. I assume the Modrons meandered their way back to their group, because it was only an hour or two that we borrowed them for.
