The Underdark

The Underdark is an alternate material plane, accessible onloy in the last 200 years or so, that is home to a variety of powerful creatures and magic items, including the dark elves know as the Drow. There also seems to be some connection between the Underdark and an entity known as Lolth the Spider Queen as the Drow seem to worship her.
