Drow
The Drow are elves with skin as dark as Onyx, that originate from an alternate plane known as The Underdark. They have access to a a particular brand of poison, as well as a mind controlling fungus. They seem to be faithful to a Spider Goddess known as Lolth, and are considered by the Magistery to be a war-mongering race, and therefore, intolerable.
During our Investigation of Valas, we learned some interesting facts (see Game-Summaries:2/16 Recollections):
- They have the ability to mark opponents with Faerie Fire for future pain.
- They have been hiring Solace's own impoverished citizens for labor
- They have the ability to speak Common (why did I bother to Comprehend Languages?!)
- At least some of the Drow seem to be working under duress, and the threat of death
- There home seems to be a city called Menzoberranzan located somewhere in the Underdark.
Drow Society
Drow society seems to be organized into Houses, each led by a Headmistress. In all observable cases, that Meadmistress is also a spellcaster leading us to believe that the Drow value spellcasting above martial prowess, and obviously oraganize themselves in a matriarchal way. There seems to be some contention between the Houses, as we evidence of shifting alliances, and competeing agendas. We suspect, however, that one house must sit atop the hierarchy, at least in name if not in practice, for this organization to remain stable.

The Silence of Lolth
It has been learned from from various sources that the Spider God-Queen of the Drow, [Lolth]] has fallen silent. The Divine spellcasters among the Drow are unable to cast spells, and the Underdark seems to be collapsing. This has spurred the Drow into seeking refuge in other planes. After attempts to relocate to other planes, they have begunan attempt to evacute the the Underdark to Eomas. There seem to be a number of competeing Drow Houses and potentially unallied powers leading these efforts.
