A kraken is a monstrous denizen of the sea, all teeth and tentacles. They can grow to size of continents or moons, control wind and waves, and even shape the land itself with its movements. Indeed, the cataclysm known as The Great Awakening which marked the beginning of the Common Era was the rise and fall of a Great Kraken, long asleep and actually believed to be a mountain range! Much smaller versions of this titan exist however, and a Magistery party faced one such spawn while investigating a ship's crew that had gone missing near Kraken's Landing (see Game-Summaries:5/12 Recollections). That party encountered a cult that worships these creatures, Cult of the Kraken, and is working towards some unknown goals on their behalf.
