Mysterious Portals

A series of mysterious Portals have been found across the Realm, these portals were first discovered by a Magistery party while attempting to cleanse a desecrated shrine at Farmer’s Enclave ( see Game-Summaries:8/5 Recollections). These portals seem to be doorways to alternate dimensions, and can be identified as magical, using a Detect Magic spell, and also leave telltale depressions in the earth above them, if encountered underground, and an absence of moisture in surrounding area.

These Portals seem to be created by the inscription of a complicated rune (perhaps a Pentagram - see Game-Summaries:12/9 Recollections). We have identified at least three types of these Portals which can be used together to create an artificial ley line.

Portal Types

• Green - this portal appears to led to some sort of lush, tropical region
• Pink - this portal appears to lead to some sort of dark, dank cave. We assume this portal is the one that leads to the Underdark (This was later confirmed to have been the underdark)
• Orange - this portal emanates feeling of hatred. the First Weaver was able to confirm that this portal led to Surtur's realm

We have also discovered that there is a Black Ice Gang cell dedicated to the creation sand maintenance of these Portals, and that it is led by a Wild Mage named Hune.

A Drow prisoner revealed that there were hundreds of these Portals allowing travel to Eomas, but only one that allows return to the home of the Drow, Menzoberranzan. This portal is located hundreds of miles away from Solace in The Nightshade Kingdom.

And though we don't yet know how to track these Portals, we do know that they can be dispelled.
