Halisstra Melarn is the Drow Headmistress of House Melarn (thought to be the current dominant Drow great House). She recently sent an emissary to the Magistery with a Letter expressing a desire to resolve the current situation peacefully, and claiming that the Drow we have encoutered previously have been acting without her authority.
Halisstra had previously been named as the "Mother" of the Draegloth. A Draegloth recently surrendered to a Magistery party (see Game-Summaries:3/10 Recollections) and told an unlikely tale of the Underdark being abandoned by Lolth and of Halisstra directing her children to search the planes for a new home.
