Shar-Ngolyeth is a being of unknown nature that is the focus of a group called th Cult of the Kraken. They seem to be at the center of an attempt to bring this being into our world (if the cultists are to be believed, to RETURN this being to our world). A group of Magistery adepts faced what we believe to be an Aspect of Shar-Nagolyeth when we investigated the sudden appearance of a mysterious island near Kraken's Landing (see Game-Summaries:6/30 Recollections). this aspect had an appearance similar to a Mindflayer, as it had tentacles on it's face, and seemed to be surrounded by tentacles when we encountered it. The cultists seem to believe that it is a Old God, and worship it as their deity. It at least seems to be a monstrous creature of great power that is let loose upon our world could cause great damage.
