The Silence of Lolth
Places
Material Plane
Eomas
It has been learned from from various sources that the Spider God-Queen of the Drow, Lolth has fallen silent. The Divine spellcasters among the Drow are unable to cast spells, and the Underdark seems to be collapsing. This has spurred the Drow into seeking refuge in other planes. After failed attempts to relocate elswhere, they have begun evacuting the the Underdark to Eomas. There seem to be a number of competeing Drow Houses and potentially unallied powers leading these efforts. (See Silence of Lolth for more information).
*The Conventicle - Purely the Mage's Guild that seems separated and operating aside from the Magistery Guild.
*Folcom Keep - Site the Holy well of Coventina and desired by Dereth in his quest make the Heartwood the divine realm of Avalon once again.
*Great Wastes - A desert region in the far north of Eomas
**Ostoria - Home of the Temple of the Storm Giant King
*Hillock - A location, discovered by Tallulah where The Eternal Order faced and destroyed Hune.
*Solace - The largest city and unofficial capital of Eomas and Home of the Magistery
**Braze’N’Bold - A pub in Solace popular with initiates of the Magistery.
**The Magistery - Dedicated to bringing light to truth, and truth to light, to carry out justice where it was needed, to bring order to a chaotic world.
***The Vault - Shared vault containing the communal property of The Eternal Order
***The Lightless - The Lightless is the lowest floor in the Magistery tower, deep underground and even under sea level, where absolutely zero light and sound can escape.
*Old Solace - The ruins beneath and surrounding the current ground Level of the city of Solace.
**Shander's Inn - Officially called The Manticore's Tale, but everyone knows Shander and simply calls it her inn
**Silver Tongue Theatre - A theatre in Solace where the play "To Harp at Midnight" was being performed. The theatre was the site of an incident involving members of The Eternal Order, The Cloaks of the Solace Guard, and Nimor (See Recollections).
*Shanjiu Castle - A sanctuary of Yanji and the unofficial Headquarters of The Eternal Order.
*Temple of Shan Sua - A stony temple high in the Pardor Range that is home to the monastic Order of Shan Sua.
*The Golden City of Elves - Ancestral seat of Wood Elves, also known as Besual Aleantylar, formerly the elven kingdom of healing and purity.
*Toldoth - Toldoth is a desolate, dark city in the north east corner of Eomas and location of the Battle of Toldoth
*Westcliff - A small farming village approximately 22 miles north west of Solace

Other Places on Terra
There seems to be a number of cells associated with the Gang, each of which is tasked with some goal, so far indicated only by a key word. each cell also has a leader, a few of which have been eliminated. It is unclear whether eliminating the cell leader has neutralized that cell. At least in one case, it seems not.
*Kraken's Landing - Kraken's Landing is an archipelago without a mainland, and in most maps it is depicted as the center of Terra.

The gang are the priests and servants of  the Spider Queen Lolth. The denizens of Lolth's secret churches in Solace mark themselves with a small drawing of her symbol on their forehead, but the common man sees only ash. These priests or priestesses are always looking to hire common impoverished citizens looking for work.

Valas was a cell leader for The Black Ice Gang that was tasked with colleccting ingrediaents for The Chaos Curse. A Magistery party including Jorg, Cassio, Ember, Ci and Jeroy successfully disrupted Valas's harvesting of ingredients, destroying a cache of Rust Monster Saliva, freeing a number of civilians who had been pressed in to service, killing both Valas and his Champion, collapsing the tunnels leading to the docile Rust Monsters, and capturing a Drow Soldier for interrogation (see Recollections).

Hune "Portals"
The Cloaks
DECEASED

Hune was a Warlock, and cell leader of the Black Ice Gang. Hune seems to have been tasked with creating Portals to allow travel (at least) to and from the Underdark. A Magistery Party encountered him on 1/27 (see Recollections) and though he escaped the encounter, they were able to collapse the portal he had opened. A later party was able to predict the location of Hune's next Portal, and set an ambush for him at the suspected location. Though he managed to avoid the ambush set by Tallulah and company at the Hillock, much to their surprise, Hune decided to fight rather than flee. He employed devastating magic, particularly against those whoi inflicted damage against him, and forcibly summoned and bound a Draegloth to fight for him. The party was able to kill Hune, but he expired in a great spurt of hellfire damaging all in the vicinity, and nearly killing Ci outright. The Draegloth released from Hune's control, immediately sued for peace. We recovered a few items from Hune including a Helm of Teleportation, Bracers of Defense and a Staff of Withering which we believe to be an Intelligent weapon.

CAPTURED - POTENTIALLY DECEASED

Investigating Kaanyr (notes from Rezik)
Gods
I started by first trying to just see if there were any patterns in the Magistery. I was worried that we had been compromised, that someone had become a spy in the Magistery, so I was looking for anyone that was out of place. It was more difficult that I anticipated.

I got my lucky break when Reshi, an Adept, took note of me and confided in me that she had found a likely location for most of the cell leaders. She was looking for more information before reporting her findings, but I finally convinced her to confide in me. She agreed in exchange of me swearing to wipe Kaanyr out of existence and report our discoveries and findings back to her first.
*Araushnee - Betrayer of Corellon - now known as Lolth

*Drusilia - Goddess of Love and Vengeance - now in the body of Sakura's reincarnated form
*Eilistraee - The Drow goddess of song, dance, swordwork, hunting, moonlight, goodness, and beauty
*Lolth - Spider God of the Drow
*Nerull - Former God of Death.
*Pelor - ???
*Surtur - Surtur is of the Choir Secundus, and is considered to be the God of Fire and War
*Taiia - Taiia is the supreme God and transformer. Taiia creates, protects, and transforms the universe.
*The Raven Queen - Ruler of The Nightshade Kingdom and The Goddess of Death. Stole Nerull's Divine Spark
*Umberlee - Also known as The Bitch Queen, is the most likely the person (or demi-god) that cursed the S. S. Endurance into Umberlee's Revenge
*Viviene - The Lady of the Lake

It turns out Kaanyr has a hideout in the Temple District. He’s been using clever makeup, as well as magical illusions to hide his true nature and has been posing as a devotee of Corellon. I was don’t we’ll be able to gain access to the temple's barrack-style cleric's bedchambers, but Kaanyr seems to leave the temple around sundown every night with regularity. We’re not sure how long he's been here, but I suspect we could stalk and capture him easily.

The Magistery
I've learned of a powerful wizard in an abandoned fortress about 80 miles north east of Solace, that I suspect may be Imphraezl. Some urchins have mentioned being on ferry and carrier jobs for him, and that he pays well and punishes severely for obscure ingredients transported safely. I've heard specific mention of several ingredients that comprise the Chaos Curse, including Rust Monster Saliva, Owlbear Feathers, Mimic's teeth, and Red Dragon Scales.

When searching for portals at the Farmers Enclave, we began to dig under the portals we found and discovered an underground city. Directly under the intertwined portals, we saw a pentagram that seemed to be used to create a casting using old tribal magic. Wisakedjak, the First Weaver, told us this originated from the “outside” while we’re the “inside”. It's possible that something from "The Far / Outside" is creating these portals.

While exploring the Training Dungeon Mishap (see Recollections) we discovered that we actually had been transported to an alternate dimension of sorts known as as The Far or The Outside. The strange place was filled with even stranger things including abominations and obscenities - creatures twisted by magic or experimentation - with paper walls and stone papers. Though it resembled the real world, the things inhabiting it were flawed reflections. At its center we met and destroyed a Mindflayer named Zahn who seemed to be at least thriving in this environment, if not actively creating and manipulating it. Before we could gather more information, however, we were transported back to the Magistery with more questions than when we left:
At Rest With Honor
* Was this Outside where the Training dungeons have always existed, and were they corrupted by Zahn for his own ends?
*Jorg-un' Dal, The Mountain
* Is the Outside another realm entirely, in which case, how were we directed there, instead of our usual location?
* Sakura no kaze - Wild Mage - Gave his life to become the Avatar of Drusilia
* Was this Zahn the architect of this madness, or merely a Pawn in a larger scheme, not yet glimpsed?
* Will Cassio ever realize that Ember IS the bear?

Perhaps further investigations will yield greater truths, but for the time being, this line of inquiry seems to have ended.

Notable Research / Information
Sakura's research on Devils and Contracts
After the Battle of Toldoth, we found that many Magisters had left with the Devils. This in itself was very troubling. Even more so when they returned just a couple of weeks later, aged more than 10 years and with hybrid children in hand (they produced Tiefling offspring with their Devil mates). Perhaps this was how they were to fulfill their end of the contract they agreed to. One result of their return was the creation of a permanent Gate within Magistry walls. I found this extremely troubling and thus went to research a bit more on this topic so that I may learn more about what we've done. Below are my notes for all to learn from.

I found a vast number of references to dealing with devils and similarly unsavory folk from the planes of Hell. It's surprisingly more commonplace than I thought possible, and while the creatures of hell are generally an evil lot, they seem to be more of a lawful lot than anything else. They value their hierarchical pecking order over all else, and consistently try to make deals with all manner of creature. One thing of note, Devils seem bound so fiercely to their own impositions of law, they do not simply honor the letter of their contracts, they truly honor the spirit of them. For Devils, making deals and contracts seems like such a commonplace nuisance it would be impossible to get anything done, very unlike elves who believe freedom is the highest form of self-expression.

There are a number of references to people making deals with infernal creatures for power, wealth, love, and a number of other things. The reasons for signing a contract seem to cover nearly all manner of dilemma or shortcoming. There are more than a couple of lords and ladies who made their deals known upon their deathbed, often to save their fiefdoms, manors, or greathouses.

The deal that has been penned by the Magistery is relatively clear:

#Devils will anchor Avernus to the Material Plane.
#We are allowed to travel to Avernus freely, if we so choose.
#Devils must be summoned or receive permission to use the Gate to travel to the Material Plane.

There is a great deal of tumult and chaos in the space between the planes, and anchoring Avernus with a permanent gate with high proximity to the Magistery's artifact allows the planes of hell to "settle" some, preventing them from spinning wildly in the cosmos, and tempering the time dilation between realms as well.

Divine Spark
*Deific Power for a dead deity still exists based on followers, the mantle can be taken up by a suitable vessel, the more powerful the dead deity was, the less suitable the vessel needs to be for the divine spark to possess it.
*Deities can be raised by killing another and immediately supplanting their power or by being raised by a higher powered deity

The academic categorization of divine spark level:

These are the supposed two sides of the conflict - it's not a clear delineation - example the Conventicle is not fully aligned with Shar Ngolyeth, as they do not want the world undone, but do want the gods destroyed.

Notable Research / Information edit edit source

Sakura's research on Devils and Contracts edit edit source

 1. Devils will anchor Avernus to the Material Plane.
 2. We are allowed to travel to Avernus freely, if we so choose.
 3. Devils must be summoned or receive permission to use the Gate to travel to the Material Plane.

Divine Spark edit edit source

 • Deific Power for a dead deity still exists based on followers, the mantle can be taken up by a suitable vessel, the more powerful the dead deity was, the less suitable the vessel needs to be for the divine spark to possess it.
 • Deities can be raised by killing another and immediately supplanting their power or by being raised by a higher powered deity

The academic categorization of divine spark level:

Divine Level Number of Followers
Demigod 0-10 Million
Lesser Deity 10-20 Million
Minor Deity 20-40 Million
Intermediate Deity 40-80 Million
Greater Deity 80-160 Million
Overdeity 160 Million+

Visions from the Past edit edit source

While on a mission to the Underdark, several members of the The Eternal Order experienced visions of the past. These visions ranged from the obscure to the relevant, to the extremely personal.

Shar Ngolyeth vs Shar Ao Navira edit edit source

These are the supposed two sides of the conflict - it's not a clear delineation - example the Conventicle is not fully aligned with Shar Ngolyeth, as they do not want the world undone, but do want the gods destroyed.

Shar Ngolyeth Shar Ao Navira
Nerull The Raven Queen
The Conventicle The Magistery
The Seer The Seal
Chaos Law
Raw Power Orderly Power
Magic Science
